Overview
The Organization Creation Form is what a B2B Manager fills in when signing their organization up. It collects the organization's details and the buyer's own details together, and creates both records.
The form already exists the moment the B2B Catalog is turned on. Your job is deciding what it should ask for and editing it to match.
What is Already Set Up for You
The form is built and ready as soon as the B2B Catalog is turned on.
You do not create it.
It cannot be deleted.
One Organization Creation Form exists at a time.
Everything on the form beyond the organization name is yours to add, remove, or reorder.
The Organization Name
The form always asks for the organization's name, and that question stays on the form. Genius uses the answer to create the organization, so the form depends on it.
One Form, Two Records
A single person fills in this form, and the answers are stored in two places. Each question saves either to the person signing up or to the organization they are creating. When you add a question, you choose which.

Tax identification number | Affiliation | It belongs to the organization and stays the same whoever signs up. |
Number of employees | Affiliation | A fact about the organization. |
Job title | B2B Manager | It belongs to the person. A second buyer would have a different one. |
Direct phone number | B2B Manager | Each buyer has their own. |
A useful test when you add a question: if a second person from the same organization signed up tomorrow, would you expect the same answer?
If yes, it belongs to the organization.
If it would differ per person, it belongs to the person.
Organization Names Must Be Unique
Genius blocks a second organization being created with a name that already exists.
The match is on the exact name.
The check runs before the account is created, so a blocked attempt leaves nothing behind to clean up.
Note: Names that differ slightly are treated as different names - "Acme Inc" and "Acme, Inc." will both go through.
